Vice President Estimating Department
With over 29 years experience in the construction industry, Jim brought diversified talents to PirTano Construction in February of 1989.
Beginning in 1977, Jim was employed by a civil engineering company gaining groundwork experience in drafting, surveying and construction staking.
Having graduated from Illinois State University in 1983, Jim went on to work for another engineering firm where he assisted in the sanitary sewer evaluations for the City of Lockport.
1n 1984, Jim joined yet another engineering company as a resident engineer for the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency's conversion from septic to sanitary sewers for the City of Warrenville. During this time he also assisted in the design and construction of high profile projects such as: The DuPage County Court House, The State Capitol Visitor Center, and the North South Tollway.
Now as our Vice President of Estimating for PirTano Construction, Jim lends his expertise in areas including estimating, negotiating, purchasing and subcontract coordination. The combination of knowledge and experience earned in the field and in the office has made Jim a valuable asset to PirTano Construction Company.
