 PirTano Construction Company, Inc. installed all of the underground utilities at the luxurious Toll Brothers community of Bowes Creek Country Club, located on 800 acres in the far west area of Elgin. The first two phases consisted of approximately 600 single family and Active Adult Homes surrounding an eighteen hole golf course. PirTano installed one mile of an off-site interceptor sewer and water main and the storm sewer drainage throughout the golf course. PirTano also built the infrastructure for the Active Adult Clubhouse and the Maintenance Facility. PirTano installed one of the largest ConSpan Bridge Systems over Bowes Creek along Tournament Drive. This was a 48’ span by 60’ wide precast bridge with wing walls and headwalls built over the swift and at times, deep waters of Bowes Creek. The bridge is sitting on 36 piles driven approximately 40’ deep to support the bridge foundation. All the challenges were met and dealt with while starting this bridge in the dead of winter and completing it during a very wet spring.
